项目位于大熊猫繁育研究基地核心区域，是北湖片区的制高点、地标和视觉中心。塔身形状酷似熊猫最爱吃的 “笋”，塔身通体钢构配以玻璃幕墙，塔形如雨后春笋，楼层空间采用芙蓉花为指引，外缘弧形层层重叠，如芙蓉花开。“越是看似自然的设计，对科技的要求也越高”，熊猫塔照明设计全程建立在参数化平台，通过对建筑外立面及幕墙结构细节分析，建立合理化的灯光布局，不仅能更好的展现建筑的轮廓美感，也能更加节能环保。
