深圳大运会火炬塔位于深圳湾畔，高26米，外观上就像是一座书山，由一本本书垒起来。在每本“书”上都刻有一届大运会举办的时间和地点，比如：“1977索菲亚”、“1985神户”……一直到最顶端的“2011深圳”，非常具有历史感。本届大运会结束之后，火炬塔将会作为永久建筑保留，成为继“闯”雕塑、“拓荒牛”之后深圳第三个标志性的城市景观。

The Torch Tower of Shenzhen Universiade is located on the bank of Shenzhen Bay and is 26 meters high. It looks like a mountain of books, piled up by books. Each "book" is engraved with the time and place of the Universiade, such as "Sofia in 1977", "Kobe in 1985"... to the top "Shenzhen in 2011", which is very historical. Each "book" represents a Universiade.
